David Taft

David Taft  has worked in movement theater for over twenty-five years, performing in mask, movement, and Commedia dell'Arte with a number of ensemble companies, such as Two Penny Theater, the Stained Glass Company, and Creation Company. He has extensive touring credits, and has worked locally at Theater For the New City, On The Boards, Seattle Rep, the Allegro Dance Series and Freehold.  He now teaches full-time at Cornish College of the Arts.

David has been Artist-in-Residence instructor in mask and Commedia dell'Arte at the secondary and college level, a freelance movement coach and mask consultant for stage and television, and a radio voice-over artist. As a teacher, he has since 1992 trained actors in mask, movement and clown at Cornish College of the Arts, and is a full time associate professor in the theater program. David trained with Michael Howard, Tony Montanaro, Carlo Mazzone- Clemente and Gennadi Bogdanov.
