  OTHELLO

A Work in Progress

Join us at our laboratory showing of a work in progress of William Shakespeare's OTHELLO, which is being produced as part of our Engaged Theatre Program. This year's production includes the outstanding talent of actors Annette Toutonghi, Reggie Jackson, Sylvester Kamara, Lauren Herrick, Mariah Cane Ware, Damien Peterson, Jieun Kim, Gino Yevdjevich, Chris Bell, Bart Smith and led by Freehold's Artistic Director Robin Lynn Smith.

This year's production includes several open rehearsal showings and post-rehearsal discussions. Plan on attending and being a part of the exploration and telling of one of Shakespeare's most compelling works.

Reginald Andre Jackson on playing Iago

How is "Othello" enriched and changed by having a black man play Iago, a role usually played by a white man? Read Reginald Andre Jackson's analysis of the dynamic between Iago and Othello in our June Newsletter (it starts about one quarter of the way down the page).
